Nick – Business Owner
I left the corporate world to start grooming dogs in 2006, and I’m proud to say that 16 years later – I still love what I do. My motto is “Work with your heart before you work with your hands”. Happy dog – happy client!
Welcome to The Million Hairs Family, where my colleagues call me Momzo or SisterBoss. I would like to introduce you to my staff, these wonderful people who I hold close to my heart.
Edward
Supervisor
I have loved pets since I was a little boy. I’m so thrilled by this opportunity I got from The Million Hairs Club to show, express and enjoy the love. When I joined The Million Hairs Club, 14 years ago I was inspired by Nick, seeing the boss doing it herself and grooming the dogs. I’m enjoying every moment.

Grooming has taught me a lot over the years! You can give pets so much love and in return – be grateful that you gave back to the animal kingdom by having one happy companion…
Boycy has 11 years grooming experience and has been with The Million Hairs Club since 2017.

Sonnyboy
Head Groomer
I love animals and I have been working with the dogs and cats for the last 31 years. There are very few breeds of dogs that I have never groomed and love the challenge of getting each and every breed cut 100% perfect.
When The Million Hairs Club has a challenging dog to groom, Sonny is the best man for the job. He is never daunted. Sonny is also our head cat groomer.
“Even the tiniest poodle or chihuahua is still a wolf at heart.” – Dorothy Hinshaw
Thando
Head Groomer
I love pets, that’s why I chose to make the grooming world my profession. I am the Head Groomer of the East Rand team and will be celebrating my 15 year anniversary with The Million Hairs Club at the end of 2022. 17 years grooming and still in love with my job – not many people can say that! My goal is to make the client happy and for them to trust me with their puppies. Happy Puppy – Happy Mummy! I love the dogs and my job!
“The world would be a nicer place if everyone had the ability to love as unconditionally as a dog.” – MK Clinton
Florah
Head Groomer
I like all breeds and the most important thing is to be patient with dogs. The best dog to groom is a Husky, they love attention and water. They howl with excitement and then shake their bodies when they are wet. Covering the groomers with water. We wash them and they shower us – in water and love! I am the Head Groomer of the Kyalami team and will be celebrating my 15 year anniversary with The Million Hairs Club in June 2022. What I can tell you is that grooming dogs is my joy and pride.
“Whoever said you can’t buy happiness forgot little puppies.” – Gene Hill
Erick
Assistant Groomer
I have been part of The Million Hairs Club for 13 years. Nick says that we all get bitten at least once a year, we joke and call it the “Birthday Bite”. In my first year, I was bitten twice! Maybe I had 2 birthdays that year.
I have learnt that you can work with dogs and give them your love and then you don’t get bitten. My team members call me The Husky, because I have a lot of energy.
“A dog doesn’t care if you’re rich or poor, educated or illiterate, clever or dull. Give him your heart and he will give you his.” – John Grogan
Effort

I’ve started grooming dogs in 2011. By grooming them is my way of saying thank you. When I joined The Million Hairs Club in 2011, I had never worked with animals. Nick and the other staff have coached me and taught me everything I know today. And I can now proud to be able to groom Poodles.
